Banff National Park

    Highlights:
    • I got to meet 10 women who also liked to be outside.
      I got to try snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and rode in a dogsled.
      I made new friends who I have continued to hike with!

A train was stalled on the tracks, about a mile from our trailhead. We crossed the tracks, and had to strap on our shoes right there!

Elizabeth Parker hut in Yoho National Park
We showshoed 7 miles to the Elizabeth Parker hut in Yoho National Park for an overnight stay. The hut is only accessible by foot or ski in the winter, and is stocked with firewood, cooking supplies, and sleeping mats. It was cozy and warm inside!
