Quilt #3

My next quilt I wanted to try triangles! What a journey. I did not use any "4-at-a-time" (or 8, 10, 12, for that matter) HST methods. I cut all my fabric squares, and then I matched 2 squares together, sewing on either side of the diagonal to create 2 triangles. This was definitely not the most effecient way to do this.

Another one of my challenges with this quilt was I was unable to use the HST Template I bought specifically for the project! Since the template cuts the triangles at every half inch, I couldn't square off my triangles with my template without losing a lot of quilt. We had the quilt long armed (another penny panto!) and I constructed a beige binding.

Karissa picked out every fabric for this quilt herself on a trip to Joann's. I hated this quilt when I first made it, but it has grown on me since then. It looks really pretty in her house, especially in the fall, and her foster cat seems to like it too.
